The following letter has been received by Captain Cordier from Captain Brown of Company A, Eighth Infantry, M.V.M.
"1. The members of the above company are going to stage Mr. William Gillette's famous war drama, 'Held by the Enemy,' at Brattle Hall, Cambridge, on the evenings of April 27 and 28 at 8 o'clock.
"2. The object of putting the play on is to raise sufficient funds to help defray expenses to the Inaugural at Washington, D. C., in 1917. I feel that all members would like to participate in this trip, as it is an affair that occurs but once in four years.
"3. Members of your command can assist us financially in this endeavor, also making it a success by the purchase of tickets at a small cost to them and also enjoy a pleasant evening. We expect the presence of some of the highest officials of the M.V.M. and also in public life.
"4. I would suggest that this matter be taken up before the members of the Harvard Regiment at the next assembly. Should you be able to dispose of any tickets the same will be forwarded to you on request.
"5. The seats are all reserved and the price of tickets is fifty cents. I trust you will be able to assist us in this matter and an early reply will be appreciated. "THOMAS F. BROWN, "Captain."
