The University soccer team will play Dartmouth on Soldiers Field this afternoon at 2 o'clock. This game will end a long trip made by the Dartmouth eleven in which they lost to Springfield Y. M. C. A., tied Pennsylvania 0 to 0, and in the third game defeated Westown School 3 to 1.
The team has shown a lack of experience all through the trip but has improved in every game so that it is in excellent shape to finish the season today. Captain Palmer was injured in the Springfield game and was out of the other two games, but may be back in the line-up today. W. C. Hulbert, who has been acting captain during his absence, is a dangerous man, and in his position at outside right is able to play a fast passing and shooting game. Huang, on the other end of the line, is also very fast and his long experience in Japan has made him invaluable to the Dartmouth team.
Captain O. G. Daly '17 will be the mainstay of the defence for the University, and F. C. Dimond '19 and R. C. Cooke '18 have shown up as the strongest factors of the attack. Both are good shots and follow the ball closely. The University team defeated the Springfield team that beat Dartmouth but later lost to Pennsylvania. The contest today should be very close, with the advantage slightly in favor of the University.
The teams will line up as follows:
