One of the most encouraging results of yesterday's election was the large number of men in 1917 who voted. No election may be representative unless a large majority of the electorate register their votes.
Three hundred and seventy-six men voted yesterday, establishing a numerical record. This is an encouraging increase over the 348 who last year took advantage of their suffrage, or the 350 Senior voters in 1914.
The class is relieved from the stigma of indifference which its vote for Student Council brought upon it. Practically six times as many men voted yesterday as voted then.
The few men who did not vote are rendered more conspicuous by their inconsequence. Their culpability is overlooked in the splendid showing of the class as a whole.
