The Freshman swimming team took the honors in their first meet at the Cambridge Y. M. C. A. tank yesterday afternoon, defeating Rindge by the score of 44 points to 18. The Freshman swimmers took first places in the relay, the 100-yard swim, the 220-yard swim, the 40-yard sprint, the dive, and the plunge. Captain Jackson, who took three firsts, including his lap in the relay, Swayze, and Leonard were the stars. In the plunge, Merrick covered 60 feet and was still going when he reached the end of the tank. Blackler, who won the 20-yard breast-stroke and took second in the 40-yard sprint, was Rindge's best man.
