The Summer School has experienced the largest and most successful session in several years. Last year's remarkable gain in enrollment was maintained and even slightly improved upon. The total of students reached 916, an increase of 10 over 1914, which in 1913 the total was only 793. The proportion of men and women students remained about equal there being 470 women and 446 men.
The bulk of the attendance was composed of teachers and school officials, their number reaching 365 or nearly 40 per cent. of the total. The next largest group, 215, is made up of students in the physical education courses. These include instructors in college and school gymnasiums, supervisors of playgrounds, and others similarly employed. The remainder, not including undergraduates of various colleges, embraces members of various professions, law, medical, and religious.
