Dartmouth won the New England intercollegiates at Technology Field on Saturday with a score of 36 1-3 points, Maine was a close second with 31, and Bowdoin, Technology, Holy Cross and Colby finished in the order named. As a result of the meet, Dartmouth holds the N. E. I. A. A. trophy permanently, having secured four consecutive victories. Dartmouth's greatest strength was in the field events in which 19 1-3 points were secured. Worthington made a new record of 23 feet, 10 1-4 inches in the broad jump, and Whitney a new mark of 47 feet, 10 1-2 inches in the shot-put.
Technology was strongest in the distance events, which were both run in fast time, Brown winning the mile in 4 minutes, 24 4-5 seconds and Cook winning the two-mile easily in 9 minutes, 35 4-5 seconds. Savage of Bowdoin won both hurdles in good time.
