Mr. Edwin Emerson '91, who, as war correspondent, has served at both the eastern and western frontiers in the European war, will speak in the Union this evening at 8 o'clock on certain phases of the war.
Mr. Emerson was a rough-rider in the Spanish war, was in the Japanese and Russian lines during the war between those nations, and was in Mexico during the disturbances of 1912 and 1913. He is the author of several books, including "In War and Peace," "History of the Nineteenth Century."
Mr. Emerson last spoke at the University in 1906, when he told of his experiences in Manchuria. His talk tonight, which is to be illustrated by moving pictures and stereopticon slides taken at the front, will give a vivid picture of present conditions in Europe.
