Concerning Medical Protection

The following information concerning the medical protection provided for members of the University is printed as many students have been found who did not know what steps to take when ill: Students confined to their rooms by illness should send word to the Medical Adviser, Thayer 21, between the hours of 8.30 and 9.30 A. M. or 5 and 6 P. M. At other hours the Medical Adviser may be notified at his residence, 1569 Massachusetts avenue, telephone, Cambridge 1020.

If no physician is already in attendance, patients will be seen by the Medical Adviser in the order that they are reported, with the exception that any urgent case will be seen immediately when possible. Abdominal pain, and any rash or eruption should be reported at once. The earlier the detection of contagious or other serious illness, the greater the safety to the individual and to his friends.

Students able to go out are expected to consult the Medical Adviser at his office. Thayer 21, during the following office hours: 8.30-9.30 A. M.; 5-6 P. M.

Dr. W. B. Cannon will talk on medicine in Brooks House tonight.
