Obituary

Richard Haskins Nichols '17.

Richard Haskins Nichols '17, of Brookline, was found dead of exhaustion and exposure on the marshes in the Barnstable harbor on Tuesday afternoon, December 29. Nichols had gone duck-shooting with two classmates, but left them early Tuesday morning to try for some ducks before luncheon. His continued absence alarmed his companions, who went in search of him about two o'clock, accompanied by an attendant of the hunting shack in which they had been living. The body was found in the bottom of a duck-boat, which was partly filled with water.

Nichols was a graduate of Noble's School and during the time that he attended college had done very well in his studies.
