Harvard Training Quarters, Red Top, Conn., June 7. There was an important change in the two University crews Saturday morning. The two strokes changed places, so that Chanler is now stroking the first boat, while Lund is at his old position on the second. There have been no changes in the Freshman boats.

In the morning, all boats were taken out for light practice. In the afternoon, the Freshmen took an easy paddle of four miles. The second crew rowed a time trial over the upper two miles and the University was given a trial over the whole four. No time was given out for either try-out but both performances were very satisfactory to the coaches. The new strokes fitted in well in their respective boats. The practice was followed by E. C. Storrow '89, J. Richardson, Jr., '08, P. Withington '10 and S. H. Wolcott '03.

No rowing today. The University squad spent the day on the Sound on Mr. Herrick's boat "Gypsy." The Freshmen went on a jaunt to Ocean Beach. All the men were benefited by the day of vacation and rest.

The University crews are now rowing in the following order:

First eight--Stroke, Chanler; 7, Soucy; 6, Parson; 5, Schall; 4, Harwood; 3, Murray; 2, Gardiner; bow, Reynolds; cox., Sargent.

Second eight--Stroke, Lund; 7, Curtis; 6, Morgan; 5, J. W. Middendorf; 4, H. S. Middendorf; 3, Meyer; 2, Talcott; bow, Saltonstall; cox., Kreger.
