Harvard Faces Penn Pitcher Who Has Best intercollegiate Record.

The University baseball team meets the Pennsylvania nine on Franklin Field, Philadelphia, this afternoon at 3 o'clock is one of the deciding games of the championship season. The Penn team has an enviable record to date, and a very close game is expected, neither team being the favorites. The Pennsylvania team has defeated Yale twice this season, and has also beaten Princeton, Holy Cross, Swarthmore, Lehigh and Penn State. Its one stumbling block has been Columbia, the New Yorkers registering three victories against Pennsylvania.

Unless something happens, Coach Sexton will start will start Hitchcook in the box with Waterman behind the bat. Ayres, who injured his arm in Thursday's game, is not in the best of shape but will probably start the game.

Pennsylvania will have Sayre on the mound. He has the best record of any intercollegiate pitcher to date, among his victories being the two against Yale already referred to.
