As a result of the trials for the final contest on International Peace, which will be held in the New Lecture Hall on Friday evening, May 8, the following six men out of the original twelve contestants have been retained: John Bovingdon '15, of Cambridge; Richard Edward Connell '15, of Poughkeepsie, N. Y.; Arthur Fisher '15, of Chicago, III.; Samuel Shackford Otis '14 of Winnetka, III.; Grant Palmer Pennoyer '15, of East Orange, N. J.; Richard Brigham Southgate '15, of Worcester.
The prize of $50 for this contest is offered by The Massachusetts Peace Society to a member of the Speakers' Club making the best address on the subject of International Peace. It may be awarded to one man or may be divided as the judges see fit.
The judges will be Dr. James L. Tryon '90, Secretary of the Massachusetts Peace Society, Professor George G. Wilson, and Professor Irvah L. Winter '86.
