Crew practice for both the University and Freshmen will be strenuous this week in view of the prospective cut. The only change of importance that occurred last week was the shifting of Blanchard and Young of the second Freshman boat to the first boat in place of Ely and Wylde.
"John Harvard," the steam coaching launch, will undoubtedly follow the crews on the river today. It was put on the water the latter part of last week but has not yet been used. In order to facilitate the landing of the boats that row late in the afternoon, the lights which were strung in front of the Newell boathouse last fall have again been erected. All of the Freshman crews and four of the University crews are now working at Newell.
