The first banquet of the College Comics Association will be held this evening at the Hotel Biltmore, New York City. The banquet will be attended by representatives from the following college publications: The Harvard Lampoon, Yale "Record," Princeton "Tiger," Cornell "Widow," Columbia "Jester," Dartmouth "Jack-O-Lantern," Williams "Purple Cow," Pennsylvania "Punch Bowl," Pennsylvania State "Froth," Lehigh "Burr," and Pittsburgh "Panther." R. C. Bacon '16, P. E. Cate '16, R. E. Connell '15, R. Sanger '15 and T. Sizer '16 will represent the Lampoon. Many men prominent in the advertising and publishing business in New York will also be present.

The speakers and the subjects they will present are as follows: Mr. Charles M. Connolly, advertising manager of the Cluett, Peabody Company on "The 'Raison d'etre' of the College Comics Association;" Mr. George B. Richardson, advertising manager of "Life," on "The Work of an Advertising Manager of a Publication;" Mr. Clarkson A. Collins, Jr., vice-president of the Collins-Armstrong Company, on "What an Advertising Agent does for an Advertiser;" Mr. Robert A. Holmes, sales manager of the Crofut and Knapp Company, on "The Work of an Advertising Manager of a Nationally Advertised Article;" Mr. Ingalls Kimball, president of the Cheltenham Advertising Service, on "How to Improve the Typographical Appearance of the College Comics," and Mr. Herbert S. Housten, vice-president of Doubleday Page and Company, on "Advertising and Merchandising, and Advertising as a Career for a College Man."

Mr. Connolly will act as toastmaster.

The aims of the association are to bring the various college comic publications into closer relationship with one another, to enable them to deal more effectively with problems common to all, and to promote greater efficiency and higher quality in their papers through the discussions and interchange of ideas. It is planned to hold a banquet each year in New York City.

The formation of this association and the arrangements for the first banquet are through the efforts of R. Sanger '15, business manager of the Lampoon and J. L. Butler, business manager of the Yale Record, with the assistance of Mr. Charles M. Connolly.
