The Yale Dramatic Association will make its first appearance in Boston in Jordan Hall this evening at 8 o'clock with a bill of four one-act plays, each of an entirely different type. The first, a dramatization of Leacock's "Behind the Beyond" deals with the absurdity of problem plays and ridicules those who go to see them. "The Ghost of Jerry Bundler", by W. W. Jacobs which has been acted with much success by Cyril Maude, has been characterized as "A play of dark shadows and blue moon light in which the old inn, the old story, the old practical joke and the old tragedy--all combine to make a new and powerful drama."
"St. Bartholomew's Eve" by F. W. Tuttle deals with the fight of Sir Philip Sydney and the Duc d'Anjou over a woman on the eve of the terrible massacre during the reign of Charles IX of France. The fourth play, "The Stranger" is a grim tragedy of identity by A. F. Jenks, Yale 1914.
Tickets may be obtained at Herrick's or from S. E. Wardwell, 84 State street, Boston at $2 each. Members of the Dramatic Club may secure seats from Mr. Wardwell at the reduced rate of $1 apiece.
