Prof. Anesaki Back from Japan.
Professor M. Anesaki who held the chair of Japanese literature at the University during the year 1913-14, returned to Cambridge yesterday after spending the summer in Japan. He will meet his classes today.

"Christianity and Politics."
The third of the free public lectures of the Lowell Institute on the general topic of "Christianity and Politics" will be given by William Cunningham, D.D., F.B.A. Fellow of Trinity College, England, in Huntington Hall, 491 Boylston street, this afternoon at 5 o'clock. The specific subject of this lecture is "Presbyterianism and the Supremacy of Scripture."
Plays Must be in Before 6.
All manuscripts for the Dramatic Club competition must be in the hands of H. S. Ballou '15, Holworthy 1, before 6 o'clock tonight. More long plays in particular are wanted. The judges of the competition will be Professor G. P. Baker '87, H. T. Parker '89, of the Boston Transcript, and F. Ballard, a former winner of the Craig Prize.
"Nietzsche" Lecture Today.
Professor Henri Lichtenberger, exchange professor from the Sorbonne France, will deliver the fourth lecture of his course, Comparative Literature 54, in Sever 11 this afternoon at 4.30 o'clock. The lecture, which is on the subject "Nietzsche" will be delivered in French. It is open to the public, and all persons interested are invited.
Professor Carver on Farming.
The Economics Society will hold an open meeting in the Trophy Room of the Union tonight at 8 o'clock. Professor Carver, who has spent the last two years with the department of agriculture at Washington will speak on "The Organization of the Business Side of Farming." Any undergraduate who has, or is taking a course in Economics is eligible for membership in this society, applications for which will be received at the meeting or at Holworthy 21.
