CHAMBER CONCERT TONIGHT

Third of Series by Mr. Arthur Whiting to be Given in New Lecture Hall at 8.15 o'clock.

Mr. Arthur Whiting will give the third concert in his series of Expositions of Chamber Music in the New Lecture Hall this evening at 8.15 o'clock. It will be open only to officers and students of the University and there will be no charge for admission. Miss Christine Miller, contralto, accompanied by Mr. Whiting at the piano, will present the following program of classic and modern songs:

ENGLISH.

Dowland-(1562-1626)--"Come again sweet love doth now invite."

"Flow not so fast, ye fountains."

Somerset Folk-Songs.--"Henry Martin."

Schumann (1810-1856)--"Frauenliebe und Leben." Eight songs.

AMERICAN.

Clayton Johns--"I love, and the world is mine."

John Alden Carpenter--"When I bring to you colored toys."

"I am like a remnant of a cloud."

Arthur Whiting--"The sunrise wakes the lark to sing."

"A Birthday."

The succeeding concerts will be given on the Thursday evenings of February 19 and March 19 at 8.15 o'clock.

The second Chamber Concert in the series announced by the Department of Music will be given by Mr. Whiting in the New Lecture Hall tomorrow evening at 8.15 o'clock. Mr. Whiting will make explanatory comments on the songs rendered by Miss Christine Miller. The program will be the same as that of this evening. Single tickets for this concert, at $1.25 each, are on sale at Amee's bookstore.
