Two hockey games were played in the Stadium last Saturday afternoon, the Freshmen lining up against Exeter, and the second team against Arlington High School. The former were victorious by the score of 3 to 2 while the latter lost by 4 points to 2.
The first half of the Freshman game ended with the score tied at 2 each. In the last minute of play, however, Baker succeeded in caging the puck for the deciding point on a shot from the side. The Freshman attack was weak and lacked team play although Baker and Fisher played well individually. The feature of the contest was the work of Weld and Wylde at goal for the Freshmen, to whose steadiness victory was due.
The summary: Score--Harvard 1917, 3; Exeter, 2. Goals made by--Fisher 2, Baker, Lawson, Austin. Referee--Devereux. Umpire--McKinlock. Time--20-minute halves. The first half of the Arlington-Second Team game was hard fought, each side scoring one goal, The University team weakened in the second half, however, allowing Arlington to score three points.
