At a meeting held in Phillips Brooks House yesterday afternoon, Professor G. P. Baker '87 outlined to the occupants of Hollis Hall from the Junior and Senior classes and to the members of the Memorial Society, plans for the pageant that is to be given at the one hundred and fiftieth anniversary celebration of the Hall. Professor Baker brought out the fact that a new experiment in the history of pageantry is being tried in that this pageant will be given entirely by men and for men. Rehearsals will begin Monday and will continue through the examination period. The celebration, which takes place on Saturday, June 14, the day of the last examination, will have the following features: From two o'clock in the afternoon on, there will be open house in the Hall. Present occupants of Hollis will act as hosts for former Hollis men, and it is hoped that a great many will take advantage of this opportunity of visiting old rooms and meeting old friends. At three forty-five the pageant will begin. It will be held in the quadrangle back of the Hall. Hollis and Harvard history from the eighteenth century down will be depicted. Under the direction of Professor Baker, who has written the text of the pageant, some eighty undergraduates will take part, and the performance will be both picturesque and interesting. It is hoped, in addition, to be able to issue a book of the pageant, to be distributed to those present.

At seven o'clock a parade will be formed, to proceed from the Hall to the Union, where the dinner will be held. Like all the rest of the celebrations, this will be entirely informal. So far as possible, men will be seated by rooms. Among the speakers will be President Eliot and President Lowell, and further arrangements will be made for an attractive program. The cost per plate will be $2.50.
