The CRIMSON must congratulate Phi Beta Kappa on its hard-earned victory yesterday afternoon. The score 18 to 17 speaks for itself. In a game replete with excitement, errors, and noise the Scholars aided by two learned CRIMSON editors succeeded in pulling through a victory after ten innings of battle.
The features of the game were Brown's hit on a soda bet and Curtis's slashing drive which bounded off Greeley's neck. In sliding for third he undermined. Fenn, catapulting him into the air, but little Roger came out on top in the end. Dunbar deserted the "sheet" and the crafty editorial-writer scooped up some pretty grounders making but one error on an attempt at a football catch of a fly.
Manager Henderson intends to arrange a return game next week if the Scholars have not gone into training for the finals. Umpire--C. T. Abeles '13.
