Friday evening at 8 o'clock Harvard, Yale, and Princeton will compete in their fifth annual triangular debate. Harvard will meet Yale in Sanders Theatre, Princeton will meet Harvard at Princeton, and Yale will meet Princeton at New Haven, the home team in each case supporting the negative. The university returning two winning teams will win the debate. The subject chosen for this year is, "Resolved, That the United States government should exempt our coast wise trade from Panama canal tolls."

Tickets are being sold this year, the admission being 50 cents for main floor seats, and 25 cents for balcony and gallery seats. No free seats will be issued to students as in former years. This departure from the custom of allowing each student a free seat is made in order to pay the expenses of the debates without making subscriptions necessary. Tickets were on sale yesterday at Memorial Hall. About half of the amount necessary to send the team to Princeton was realized. The sale will be continued today at lunch in Memorial Hall and Foxcroft. Tickets may also be obtained from M. Suravitz '13, Perkins 11, J. A. Donovan '13, Stoughton 11, or at the Co-operative Branch.

Arrangements for the entertainment of the Yale debaters in Cambridge have been completed. The Harvard Chapter of Delta Sigma Rho, the honorary debating fraternity, will entertain the rival teams, the judges, former University debaters, and the members of the Debating Council at a banquet in the Union immediately after the debate.

The University lost last year's Yale and Princeton debates. This year's contest will be the twenty-third annual debate with Yale, and the nineteenth with Princeton.

The judges for the debate have not yet been announced. Judge A. P. Stone '93 will preside. The complete list of debaters on each team will be announced in Friday's CRIMSON.
