The election of the Freshman class officers was held yesterday in Phillips Brooks House, and resulted as follows: president, W. J. Bingham, of Lawrence; vice-president, W. Rollins, of West Roxbury; secretary-treasurer, W. Blanchard, of Concord; members of the Student Council, D. P. Morgan, Jr., of New York, D. C. Watson, of Milton; R. N. Williams, Jr., of Cambridge.
The total number of votes cast varied for the different officers, as some ballots omitted votes for one of the offices or for the Student Council, there being only 439 in the largest instance, out of a class of about 600 men. For president, 436; for secretary-treasurer, 433, resulting as follows:
President: W. J. Bingham, of Lawrence, 278; E. W. Mahan, of Natick, 161.
Vice-president: W. Rollins, of West Roxbury, 212; G. A. McKinlock, of Lake Forest, III., 140; A. Biddle, of Philadelphia, Pa., 84.
Secretary-treasurer: W. Blanchard, of Concord, 166; R. R. Cowen, of Cambridge, 95; E. Cunningham, of Westwood, 93; F. Boyer of Philadelphia, Pa., 76.
Student Council: D. C. Watson, of Milton, 224; R. N. Williams, Jr., of Cambridge, 220; D. P. Morgan, Jr., of New York, N. Y., 209; E. W. Soucy, of Forest Hills, 197; J. A. Gilman, Jr., of Honolulu, H. I., 191; B. M. Fullerton, 2d, of Spokane, Wash., 158; J. G. Heyburn, of Louisville, Ky., 80.
