The Harvard Club of Philadelphia will hold its 49th annual dinner at the Bellevue-Stratford Hotel this evening. An effort has been made to make this the largest and most interesting dinner the club has ever held, and several prominent men from different parts of the country will be present.
The principal speaker of the evening are Charlemagne Tower '72, president of the club; General Leonard Wood '84, of Washington; George D. Markham '81, of St. Louis; and Owen Wister '82, of Philadelphia. Professor Bliss Perry will be unable to attend the dinner on account of his recent illness. The double quartet of the University Glee Club will sing during the evening.
