At the meeting of the Athletic Committee held yesterday afternoon no definite action was taken in regard to making hockey a major sport, the motion being referred to the undergraduate members of the committee, under the rules of the committee. Rule 4 states: "The "H" may be awarded to any candidate for a University team by vote of the Committee upon the recommendation of the Captain." The undergraduate members, after considering the proposition, will report their decision back to the Athletic Committee. Such action is necessary before a definite decision can be reached.
The Committee approved four schedules for 1913, those of football, Freshman football, lacrosse, and fencing, taking no action in regard to rowing.
Following are the schedules:
University Football.
September 27.--University of Maine at Cambridge.
October 4.--Bates College at Cambridge.
October 11.--Williams College at Cambridge.
October 18.--Holy Cross at Cambridge.
October 25.--Norwich University at Cambridge.
November 1.--Cornell at Cambridge.
