It is officially announced that Robert Walston Chubb '15, of St. Louis, Missouri, has passed the preliminary examinations in Latin, Greek, and mathematics for the Rhodes scholarship, qualifying from the state of Missouri. He is the third Harvard man eligible for final selection for the scholarship, which is awarded for three years beginning October, 1914. The other two are O. G. Saxon '14, who passed the preliminary tests this fall.

Today the committee for the final selection from Massachusetts will meet to decide on the representative. This committee consists of President Lowell; David Snedden, Commissioner of Education for Massachusetts; Endicott Peabody, S. T. D., '04, Headmaster of Groton School Groton; Frederick C. Ferry, A. M '95, Dean of Williams College; and William C. Hill, Principal of the Springfield classical High School. Two other men are eligible from this state, P. F. Bliss, of Amherst, and c. H. Howell, of St. Mark's School.

Sullivan Rhode Island's Choice

William M. Sullivan 1L., of Fall River, has been chosen by the Rhode Island Committee of selection as the next Rhodes Scholar from that state. Sullivan graduated from Brown in 1913, and is a member of Phi Beta Kappa.
