The Stadium, Soldiers Field, Nov. 22.--At 1.15, 15,000 people were in the stands and mobs were pouring across the new Larz Anderson Bridge. The field was in perfect condition, with a slight breeze blowing from the south.

The Harvard team came on the field, and after trying out punts, returned to the Locker Building. Mahan averaged forty-five yards with excellent height.

A long cheer with nine Harvards, followed by a cheer for Yale. The Yale cheering section responded. The Yale team came on the field at 1.44.

The Harvard team appeared at 1.50, calling forth tremendous enthusiasm from the west stands. Following the team came a body of ten coaches.

The stands look completely filled but crowds continue to come across the bridge.

The Start of the Game.

Storer and Ketcham met in centre of the field for toss at exactly 2 o'clock. Storer won, and chose to defend the south goal. The teams line up.

Guernsey kicked off to behind goal, where Mahan received the ball and ran back twenty-five yards, to be tackled by Avery. Mahan no gain. Mahan punted to Yale's 25-yard line, where Ainsworth fumbled, but recovered.

Harvard penalized five yards for offside. Ainsworth made no gain, tackled by Hardwick. Knowles kicked to Harvard's 35-yard line. Mahan returned five yards. Bradlee made one yard through Warren. Hardwick lost one. Mahan punted to Wilson, who fumbled, but recovered on Yale's 32-yard line. Knowles gained two yards. Ainsworth made three. Knowles punted to Mahan on Harvard's 30-yard line, who returned the ball to Yale's 46-yard line. Brickley went through for six yards, tackled by Knowles. Brickley added another yard, tackled by Warren. Forward pass, Mahan to Hardwick, failed.

Brickley dropped back and attempted goal from 50-yard line, which failed.

Ainsworth carried ball one yard from scrimmage from the 20-yard line. Knowles punted outside on Harvard's 48-yard line. Mahan failed to gain around end, tackled by Warren. Mahan kicked over goal line to Wilson. Scrimmage on Yale's 20-yard line.

Knowles lost one yard, tackled by Gilman. Knowles punted to Yale's 42-yard line. No runback.

Mahan carried ball, but Avery tackled him for no gain. Brickley made no gain, stopped by Warren.

Forward pass, Logan to O'Brien, failed. Mahan punted over goal line. Yale's ball on 20-yard line. Knowles made no gain. Knowles kicked to 50-yard line. Yale penalized five yards for rough play by Ketcham. Brickley made two yards, Bradlee two yards. Bradlee carried ball to Yale's 16-yard line by fake kick play, tackled by Avery. First down, Brickley, one yard.
