Lacrosse Team Victorious

The University lacrosse team defeated the Boston Lacrosse Club 5 to 2 yesterday afternoon on Soldiers Field. In spite of the satisfactory score, the play was noticeably lacking in team-work, and showed little development. Last year's veteran attack did not work together as was expected, but on the other hand, the inexperienced defence showed up well. The individual work, in which Brundage, Catton, Nightingale and Fleming excelled, clearly saved the game.

For the Boston team, Gustafson and White starred, scoring the visiting team's two goals. For the University team, Fleming scored three goals and Abbe two.

The squad will be divided into four teams to play a round robin, beginning tomorrow. The winners will receive individual cups.
