Dr. John Mason Little, Jr., '97, will speak in the Union during the early part of February, according to present arrangements. Dr. Little has been for some years closely associated with Dr. Grenfell in missionary work in New foundland and Labrador, especially in connection with the missionary hospital at St. Anthony, Newfoundland. He is Dr. Grenfell's closest associate and chief executive, often being left in entire charge of the settlement during long periods. He has had extensive experience, and has gained wide knowledge of life in the north. His address will take the form of a stereopticon lecture on the work he has been doing.

It is also probable that the Rev. William G. Thayer, headmaster of St. Mark's School, will speak later in the present month.

On Monday, February 17, the Very Reverend Walter Taylor Summer, D.D., Dean of the Cathedral SS. Peter and Paul, Chicago, III., will speak on a subject not yet announced. Dean Summer has engaged in a difficult work with striking success, that of fighting vice and immorality in Chicago. As superintendent of the City Missions, he is in charge of the religious work in twenty one penal and charitable institutions, such as the county jail, the city hospital, and the home for the friendless. He has earned wide comment in newspapers and magazines for his vigorous and sympathetic treatment of conditions in the resorts of Chicago's West End. He is furthermore a member of the Chicago Board of Education, the Municipal Vice-Commission, and holds a number of other public offices.

The only other speaker except Professor Copeland with whom arrangements have been definitely concluded is Professor Bliss Perry, of the Department of English, who will lecture on February 18 on a subject not yet announced.

Professor Copeland will give a series of four readings in the Union during the remainder of the year on the following dates: January 22, February 12, March 12, and March 26.
