DELTA UPSILON IN UNION

To Give "Comedy of Errors" in Living Room.--Tentative Arrangement for Other Club Shows.

The Union management announces that the Delta Upsilon fraternity has consented to give one performance of its play, "The Comedy of Errors" by Shakespeare, in the Living Room of the Union. The definite date, which will be given out soon, will be somewhere near March 10.

The arrangement is the result of negotiations which have been going on for some time, and should prove a very popular one. Though the Union is lacking in the accommodations found in a regular theatre, every effort will be made to provide for the comfort of both the spectators and the actors. The production will be presented as well as possible, some limitations naturally being imposed by the lack of proper facilities. A stage will be especially constructed, the usual from of scenery will be used, and in all ways the production will be made as professional as possible. It is not expected that any serious inconveniences will arise, or that the performance will differ in any essential respects from those given elsewhere.

The production of this play in the Union is part of a more extensive plan to broaden the scope of the Union, and to make it more attractive to members. Negotiations have also been conducted with the Hasty Pudding Club and the Pi Eta Society, and these have made tentative promises to give one production of their annual plays in the Union this year. When these organizations have fully concluded arrangements as to the nature of their productions, the Union management will then be enabled to make definite announcements. It is not likely, however, that anything will happen to interfere with the project as it now stands.

Only members of the Union will be admitted to whatever dramatic entertainments are held there, and this rule will be strictly enforced. If this plan is permanently established, as those in charge have proposed, a great inducement will thereby be created for a larger number of men to become members.
