Entries for the novice gymnastic meet will close this week. This meet is held every fall for the purpose of developing new material for the University team. There is a cup offered by Dr. Sargent for the man winning the largest number of points, and there are ribbons for the first places in all the events, which are: flying rings, horizontal bar, parallel bars, side horse, tumbling, and club swinging. As the number of entries has so far been very small, all undergraduates who have had any experience in apparatus work are urged to hand in their names at once.
The squad will take trips to various parts of New England during the winter, and Freshmen are eligible for most of these. Those interested should sign the blue-book on the Gymnasium bulletin board.
