Recital by University Choir.
A recital of a capella sacred music by Palestrina and his contemporaries will be given by the University Choir in Appleton Chapel Thursday afternoon at 4.45 o'clock. The recital will be open to the public.
Mr. Whiting's Second Concert.
The second concert in the series of expositions of Chamber Music will be given by Mr. Whiting in the New Lecture Hall Thursday evening at 8 o'clock, Mr. Whiting, at the pianoforte, will be assisted by Miss Nina Fletcher (violin) and Mr. Bart Wirtz (violoncello). The recital will be open only to officers and students of the University. There will be no charge for admission.
Phi Beta Kappa Initiation.
The Phi Beta Kappa Alumni Association will give a reception for the formal initiation of the recently elected members of the Harvard Chapter of Phi Beta Kappa in the Trophy Room of the Union tomorrow at 6 o'clock. The reception will be followed by a dinner in the Assembly Room.
Alterations on Yale Hockey Rink.
Alterations and improvements are being made on the Yale hockey rink in preparation for the coming season. Blinds are being constructed on the south side to keep the sunlight off the ice, a condition which was very trouble-some to visiting teams last year.
Advisers for Law Clubs.
The advisers for the second round in the Ames Competition at the Law School are announced as follows: Perkins for Parke vs. Beale; Starsinger for Cheate vs. George Gray Fiddler for Colley vs. English 6: Breugle for Langdell vs. Bruce Wyman. Clubs should select their judges for this round before Saturday.
