Lecture by Professor Peabody.

Professor F. G. Peabody '69, Plummer Professor of Christian Morals, will give the first of two lectures on the "Social Teachings of Jesus Christ" in Phillips Brooks House this evening at 6.45 o'clock. The lecture will be given under the auspices of the Graduates Schools Society of Phillips Brooks House and will be open to all members of the graduate schools. The second lecture on this subject will be given Wednesday, December 18.

St. Paul's Society Conference.

At the weekly meeting of the St. St. Paul's Society which will be held in Brooks House this evening at 7 o'clock, the Rev. J. D. Harris, of the Church of All Saints, Belmont, will talk on "The Gospel of the Church." The meeting will be open to all members of the University.

The University second chess team lost to Technology last evening, 4 1-2 to 1 1-2.
