Results of Pole-Vault Competition

To increase interest in pole-vaulting, in which event Harvard has in recent years been very weak, Mr. H. S. Grew '96 has offered a cup to the man showing the greatest improvement in pole-vaulting during the coming season.

As the result of the handicap pole-vault competition held in the Cage yesterday afternoon H. P. Briggs '15, with a handicap of 9 inches, secured first place, H. St. John '14 and G. G. Haydock '16 were second and third, respectively. The highest actual vault was 9 feet, 6 inches.
