FOOTBALL SQUAD GIVEN REST

PREPARATION FOR HARD GAME AGAINST VANDERBILT WILL BEGIN TODAY.

In order to prevent the possibility of going stale, the coaches ordered a complete rest for the entire University football squad yesterday afternoon. Secret practice will, however, be resumed this afternoon. In contrast with last year, none of the men were seriously injured in the game with Princeton, although Trumbull and O'Brien are somewhat lame.

Contrary to the general supposition of spectators, Brickley escaped with only a few muscle bruises, and will be in the best of condition for the coming games. With the good rest which Wendell's ankle is receiving, he too will soon be at top form again.

The Harvard coaches, although not anticipating as hard a game with Vanderbilt as with Princeton, are not underrating this championship team of the South, and consequently are preparing for a fast, light team with a versatile attack similar to that of Princeton.
