THE UNION LECTURES.

In another column we publish a preliminary list of the lecturers whom the members of the Union will be privileged to hear this year. Though these entertainments will begin somewhat later than in the past owing to the presidential elections, their tardiness has served to make the members all the more eager to hear them. Among the many advantages which members of the Union enjoy none is more profitable than the opportunity to hear prominent men speak on timely subjects. That the excellence of these lectures has been appreciated in the past has been shown by the large numbers attending them. The preliminary list of lectures for this year assures us they will be up to the standard of previous years, and the opportunity to hear them should constitute one of the prime motives for becoming a member of the Union.
