The first consolation cross-country run was held over the Chestnut Hill course yesterday afternoon at 4 o'clock. The Freshman and University squads ran separately, the run being practically only a try-out for both squads. The University men ran over the "Technology" and "Yale" courses, a distance of 6 1-2 miles. Of the thirty-one men that started, F. W. Copeland '13 came in first, running the distance in 32 minutes, 25 seconds. R. St.B. Boyd '14 followed about 30 yards behind, and F. H. Blackman '14 came in some distance behind him. The first ten men to finish in order were: F. W. Copeland '13, R. St.B. Boyd '14, F. H. Blackman '14, H. G. MacClure '15, C. W. Burrage '13, S. Nichols '13, H. Norton '13, H. M. Wright '15, B. V. Zamore '15, H. M. Warren '13.
The Freshman squad ran over the "Yale" course, a distance of 3 1-2 miles, paced by Captain Lawless, Fourteen men started in this run. The first ten men to finish in order: B. M. Fullerton, W. W. Kent, E. McPeters, R. E. Fuller, G. Lamont, R. M. Curtis, W. Magger, A. R. Kingman, S. B. McKinley.
