To the Editors of the CRIMSON:
"What are we going to do in debating this year?" The four defeats of last year mean that there will have to be more interest, more material; and more preparation, if Harvard is to retain her superiority in debating.
In order to arouse interest the Debating Council has decided to have a series of interclass debates. The members of the winning class team will be awarded silver cups. The call for candidates will be made in the near future and everyone is urged to come out. If, as a result of these debates, a large club can be formed which will discuss current problems, as students in English universities do, the fondest hopes of the Debating Council will be realized.
The Freshmen, especially, are requested to answer the call of the Freshman Debating Club. J. A. DONOVAN '13, Manager.
