FRESHMAN HOCKEY PRACTICE

First Team Defeated Second in Snappy Scrimmage by Score of 4 to 3.

The Freshman hockey team was put through a stiff practice on the Stadium rink yesterday afternoon. The principal feature of the practice was a fast 30-minute scrimmage between the first and second teams, the former winning by the score of 4 to 3. The fine condition of the ice enabled both teams to play well together and resulted in one of the snappiest practices held on the Stadium rink so far this winter. The second team showed the result of the hard work they have been given during the last two weeks and for a time more than held their own against their opponents. The superior team-work and skating ability of the first team, however, proved in the end more than a match for the second.
