Yale Made Clean Sweep in Tennis

The Yale tennis team made a clean sweep in its matches with the Harvard team at Longwood yesterday, the University players failing to win any of the six matches in singles or the three in doubles. Practically all of the matches in singles were closely contested and three of them went to three sets. Fraser-Campbell made the best showing for Harvard, and Holden of Yale played in very clever fashion.

Holden defeated C. S. Cutting '12, 6-3, 6-3; Gates defeated W. B. Fraser-Campbell '11, 6-2 5-7, 8-6; Cote defeated J. R. Pratt '12, 6-4, 7-5; Mann defeated Q. A. S. McKean '13, 6-3, 3-6, 6-3; Thomasson defeated A. J. Lowrey '13, 4-6, 6-2, 6-2; Evans defeated G. W. Wightman '12, 8-6, 6-0.

Doubles.

Holden and Gates defeated Fraser-Campbell and Lowrey, 6-0, 6-3; Cote and Mann defeated Cutting and McKean, 6-3, 6-3; Evans and Thomasson defeated Pratt and L. I. Grinnell '12, 6-2, 7-5.
