CREWS OFF FOR ITHACA

University and Freshman Squads to Leave at 6.40 to Race Cornell.

The University and Freshman crew squads will depart for Ithaca on the train leaving Trinity Place station this evening at 6.40 o'clock. They will arrive at Ithaca tomorrow morning. The men will then go directly to their quarters at the Sheldrake Sanatarium, at Sheldrake on Lake Cayuga, 20 miles from Ithaca, and will take a row in the afternoon. Both crews will row at Sheldrake twice on Thursday and Friday and once on Saturday morning. The Freshman race will be held as a preliminary to the University crew race, which will be rowed at Ithaca on Saturday afternoon at 5 o'clock.

Yesterday afternoon the eight took an easy paddle down stream. Several racing starts were tried in which a high stroke was reached with the boat spacing out well.

The following men will make the trip:

Freshman squad.--R. S. Boyd, E. K. Carver, F. L. Converse, C. H. Crombie, E. D. Curtis, W. T. Gardiner, L. H. Mills, J. S. Morgan, Q. Reynolds, A. Taylor, F. H. Trumbull, Coach A. Beane '11. Dr. W. E. Ladd '02, medical supervisor of the crews, will go to Ithaca tomorrow.
