The University second baseball team defeated Worcester Academy at Worcester Saturday afternoon by the score of 3 to 1. Hardy pitched a good game for the second team, allowing Worcester but three hits and striking out seven men. He got the team out of a bad hole three times when a hit meant a run. The team fielded in good style, their two errors being minor ones.
The three runs of the second team were made by three hits and four errors. In the eighth inning, Hardy walked R. Stuart, Calnan reached first base when Stuart was thrown out at second on a ground ball. Brittingham then hit to left for three bases. The remaining men were easy outs.
