[We invite all men in the University to submit communications on subjects of timely interest.]
To the Editors of the CRIMSON:
Thus far only a small number of candidates has reported for the Freshman crew. Owing to the recent cuts in the baseball squad, there should be a large number of men at liberty for rowing. Every man who is not engaged in baseball or track work should report at the Newell boathouse this afternoon at 4 o'clock. No previous rowing experience is necessary. R. W. CUTLER '11.
Football Candidates Should Play Soccer.
Spring football practice will begin on March 27. From this time until the April recess, no opportunity must be lost which will help to get men into the best of condition. Therefore it is desirable that all candidates report for association football as soon as possible. This is undoubtedly the best exercise obtainable at this season of the year and will aid materially all men who wish to come out for football practice. As an added incentive there is the opportunity of learning a new game and possibly of making the University team. The importance of association football as an intercollegiate sport is increasing, and for that reason every effort should be made to produce a championship team this year. R. T. FISHER '12.
