Trials for Class Relay Teams Today

The trials for the class relay teams which are to compete at the athletic carnival in Mechanics Hall on Thursday evening will be held on the board track at Soldiers Field today between 3 and 5 o'clock. Each man will run two laps or 260 yards. All candidates must report to their class captains at the Locker Building between these hours. The captains of the teams are as follows: 1911, H. Jaques, Jr.: 1912, W. H. Fernald; 1913, H. P. Lawless: 1914, W. L. Allen, Jr. Men wishing to try for these class relay teams must take trials today, as the program including the names of the qualifying candidates is to be printed tonight. All men planning to compete in the carnival and who have not taken strength tests since January 1 must do so either this afternoon or tomorrow afternoon between 2 and 4 o'clock.

Arrangements have been made for the following relay races: a race between the University 390-yard relay team and the B. A. A. team, each man to run three laps; between the Harvard Freshman 390-yard relay team and the Yale Freshman team; between the B. A. A. Midgets and the Brookline Gymnasium Midgets, four men on a team, each to run one lap of 130 yards; between the Harvard second 390-yard relay team and English High School; between a team made up of first year law men and first year medical men, four men on a team, each running two laps, or 260 yards: and the interclass relay race--each team to consists of fifteen men, each man to run two laps, or 260 yards. Arrangements are also under way for a race between Harvard Law School upperclassmen and Brookline Gymnasium, four men on a team each running two laps, or 260 yards.

In connection with the carnival on Thursday evening 25 ushers will be needed. Men wishing to usher must sign today between 9 and 6 o'clock in the blue-book at Leavitt & Peirce's. The first 25 men to sign will be selected.
