Debating Council Resolution

At a recent meeting of the Harvard Debating Council the following resolution was passed:

Resolved, That in the make-up of the teams which are in the future to represent Harvard in the intercollegiate triangular debates, there be no more than three men from the graduate schools selected, and, in the event of an undergraduate showing the same capability as a graduate candidate, the preference be at all times given to the undergraduate.

By thus limiting the number of graduate students who can successfully compete for a place on the University debating teams, the Council strongly expects that more men in the college will appear at the University debating team trials next spring. At the same time, the Council feels that Harvard's chances for success in the triangular debates will not be injured by this action.
