To Hon. James Bryce, an adopted son of Harvard, the CRIMSON offers on the part of the undergraduates a hearth welcome. Even though we may not have all seen him before, many of us feel that we have come to know him s we have read through the pages of his "American Commonwealth." Because we feel that he understands us as a nation better than all but a very few of our own countrymen, we realize what an opportunity it is to hear him this evening upon our national problems of forty years ago and today.
