Additional candidates will probably report after the opening of the College year, as the present squad is mainly composed of men notified of early practice by postal cards during the summer.
The coaching squad now includes H. C. Dewey '12, head coach, R. Clifford '12, H. L. Gaddis '12, R. G. Ervin '13, and J. S. Parker '13. Yesterday the coaches gave the squad practice in the morning and afternoon; today they plan to give the ends, centres, and quarterbacks only practice in the morning in passing, punting, and running down under kicks; in the afternoon signal practice will be held for the whole squad.
Freshman Mass Meeting Tomorrow.
A Freshman football mass meeting will be held in Lower Massachusetts tomorrow evening at 7 o'clock. Every Freshman is requested to be present as the work of the season will be outlined at this meeting. The Freshman squad has been practicing since Monday so that every candidate who has not already reported should do so immediately. Also, in order to have a successful team, the support of the entire class and their aid in organizing and encouraging the team is necessary. Captain L. Withington '11 and H. C.
