The University crew received a big shake-up yesterday when it rowed for the first time since last Thursday. Sargent, who has been rowing 2 so far this season, was placed at stroke and Cutler was moved back to 6. Waid, who has been rowing 7, was moved back to 5 and Bacon who formerly occupied this position was moved up to 7. Newton who has been rowing 6 filled Sargent's old position at 2, while Metcalf replaced Balch at 3.

The crew rowed up-stream as far as the Watertown Arsenal. On the way up the boat was a trifle unsteady but the work coming back showed much improvement.

Although Sargent rows a shorter stroke than Cutler he has the advantage of experience; having stroked the University crew in 1908, and the University four-oar in 1909.
