In the annual indoor track and field meeting of the Lawrence Light Guards in the Armory at Medford Saturday evening, the 780-yard relay team easily outdistanced the Brookline Gymnasium Association team. Guild, who ran first for Harvard, passed Wall, of Brookline, after a hard fight. Everett and Ryley increased this lead and Fernald was far ahead of Hedlund at the finish.
In the 35-yard dash P. G. M. Austin '13, from the five-foot mark; took first place from C. W. Gram, of the Boston Athletic Association, who had a handicap of two feet. J. P. Long '11 finished third.
L. E. Hodges '13 and J. K. Lewis '11 took first and second places respectively in the 440-yard dash. A. D. Barker '11, the only Harvard point-winner in the high jump, was tied with E. Stuart, of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, for second place. Barker won the toss.
The University relay team ran as follows: H. Guild '10, F. D. Everett '11, G. W. Ryley '10, W. H. Fernald '12.
