The second University team defeated Brown freshmen in an uninteresting game in the Stadium on Saturday, by the score of 20 to 0. The features of the game were long runs by French, Page and Hardwick.
Brown received the kick-off, but failed to gain, and punted to Harvard's 50-yard line. From here the second team scored in eight rushes, French making the touchdown. Fumbling marred the rest of the period, neither side being able to handle the ball cleanly.
A forward pass and one rush by Page gave the Second its next touchdown at the beginning of the second period. After some punting a double pass with Paine carrying the ball gave Hardwick an opportunity to score.
Continual fumbling prevented Harvard from scoring again until the end of the last period. Then through good line-bucking and two well executed forward passes by Callander, the ball was brought to Brown's 2-yard line. From here, on the last play of the game, French made a touchdown, but the attempt at goal failed.
