The University football squad was given very light practice yesterday afternoon and there was no scrimmage. After a blackboard talk the squad held secret practice in the stadium. While the linemen were being coached by Fish and P. Withington '10, who joined the coaching staff yesterday, the ends ran down under punts. Felton, Minot, and Tryon did the kicking and the backs and quarterbacks received the punts. The second team's backs were then called in and sent against the University team's ends. After a long formation drill Teams A and B ran through a fast signal practice.
The line-ups were as follows: R. P. Kernan '03, halfback and captain of the 1902 team was assisting in the coaching and will be with the team for some time. T. Frothingham, H. C. Leslie, Perkins, P. Smith and Wigglesworth were all out and did light work. They are fast rounding into shape again and will soon be able to play.
